Second set of Questions Prompt 1: In the last paragraph, Golding writes “...Ralph wept for the end of innocence, the darkness of men’s hearts...” Discuss how this relates to the events that happened in the book.
In relation to the book "end of innocence..." I would think is in terms as literally the end of weakness and backing down. I think this was for Piggy. Piggy was an innocent harmless kid who only cared that they live and get off the island. But because he had nothing physically he was the weak and picked on kid. "the darkness of men’s hearts...” I think this goes hand in hand with the end of innocence because without mans dark hearts there will be no more man based struggles. What I mean is no more wars and there will be mercy and everyone will be nice. Almost like a perfect world.
